After 13 games into the season the Shreveport-Bossier City Mudbugs are in first place in the Central Hockey League Northeast Division. The Mudbugs currently sport a record of 7-5-1 for a total of 15 points, leading the division over the Fort Worth Brahmas.
Leading scorers for the Mudbugs are forwards Dan Wildfong with six goals/eleven assists, Scott Sheppard with eleven goals/five assists, and Chad Spurr with 3 goals and 13 assists. Brett Smith is also showing a strong performance with 10 goals. The Mudbugs are lead defensivly by goaltender Ken Carroll who was awarded Sher-wood Goalie of the Month in the CHL. Carroll led the league in Save Percentage, and Goals Against.
