Post subject: LSU vs. North Texas postponed |

Our first game of the season has been postponed due to the impact of hurricane Katrina on New Orleans and the need to use LSU as an evacuation destination and staging area for medical teams.
The rescheduling is supposed to be determined by the two schools sometime this week.
My main concern with the postponement is how will this affect our BCS ranking. This isn't a conference game so we're safe there but will we still get to play all our opponents (by possibly playing on our by week)? Will we be doomed to a insurmountable setback in the BCS? Also why couldn't we just go play North Texas and whip them on their home turf right on schedule?

Is UNT in Denton? You're right, if the Saints can move to San Antonio (maybe Benson has a new excuse to move), why cant the Tigers? Yet, these other schools dont have the capacity to hold what Tiger Stadium could.
BTW, whats the status on the stadium? How did it hold up?

1. Yep it's in Denton.
2. I wish the Saints would move.
3. There is no place like Death Valley.
4. The stadium is fine. Should be complete by the time we finally get to
host a game due to the hurricane predicament.
The North Texas game has been rescheduled for Oct. 29th in Tiger Stadium. I guess this is good for North Texas. They might get to extend their winning streak for almost two months. Good luck Mean Green it will end on Oct. 29th
