Haslett said the Lions contacted his agent, Peter Schaffer, on Tuesday to arrange the interview.

The Lions job opened in midseason when Detroit fired Coach Steve Mariucci. Jauron coached the final five games of the season and was 1-4.

I still think I'd like to see Jim Haslett with the Texans. He's not a bad coach, but he just wouldn't pull Aaron Brooks.

I dunno about Haslett. I mean he had that one year where they won their only playoff game in the history of the franchise, but besides that the Saints have so inconsistent. I know some of the blame for that goes to Brooks but Haslett should be responsible as well. Not sure if Detroit is the best place to get your second chance though... Millen probably wont be around there too much longer I'd imagine.
