For the second consecutive season, the No. 7 pick at the WNBA Draft comes from LSU.

A year after Angel Reese was selected by Chicago, Aneesah Morrow was the No. 7 overall pick by the Connecticut Sun on Monday night.

Morrow spent two seasons at LSU after transferring from DePaul.

The senior forward led LSU in 2024-25 with 18.7 points per game and led the nation with 13.5 rebounds per game. Her 30 double-doubles also led the country. Morrow was named the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Katrina McClain Award winner as the nation’s top power forward.

She finished her college career 25th on the all-time scoring list with 2,852 points scored.

Connecticut was 28-12 last season and bowed out of the playoffs in the semifinals. The 2025 WNBA season begins May 18.
