Former LSU, Auburn QB Finley to transfer again
TJ Finley is on the move again.
The Louisiana native and former LSU quarterback announced Saturday he will enter the Transfer Portal, aiming to play for a fifth school in six seasons. Finley spent the 2024 season at Western Kentucky, where he lbegan the season as the starter, but was lost to injury during the third week of the season. When he returned, Caden Veltkamp continued as the starter. The Hilltoppers lost the Conference USA Championship Game to Jacksonville State, 52-12.

Finley signed with LSU in the 2020 class out of Ponchatoula High. After one season in Baton Rouge, he would transfer to Auburn for the 2021-22 seasons. After a monster season at Texas State in 2023 where he threw for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns, Finleywas a top portal target for 2024, where he landed at WKU.
