Social Media Reacts: CFP field announced

The College Football Playoff rankings have been revealed and as most expected it ended in controversy. In the end the committee held to their word with strength of schedule not carrying as much weight as on-field wins did. Imagine that.
After the rankings were released, social media was on fire with reactions especially debating whether SMU or Alabama was more deserving of the final spot. Here were some of our favorite tweets.
The CFB Playoff Committee should launch an Only Fans account and live stream the deliberations

As someone with access to college tape and staff of 11 former NFL scouts that logged hundreds of hours evaluating this CFB season, it’s easy to see why SEC coaches are upset with final playoff bracket.
Based strictly off future NFL talent, Alabama, South Carolina, & Ole Miss…

Disappointed with the outcome and felt we were one of the 12 best teams in the country. We had an extremely challenging schedule and recognize there were two games in particular that we did not perform as well as we should have.
We have said that we would need to see how…

Wow, hadn’t noticed this, was the real CFP snub Stanford? As many top 27 wins as Penn State, Texas, and Indiana combined. https://t.co/mNEqbOVjuS

For the love of God, why would a kid enter the transfer portal before you get a chance to play in the college football playoff? The system is broken. https://t.co/moE9ILF8C2

What a horrendous job this committee did...The team that was penalized the most was @oregonfootball and the team that was rewarded the most was @PennStateFball...I guess the Ducks should have laid down in the 4th...Just atrocious

Biggest takeaway from the first year of the 12-team playoff era:
Ranking teams solely based on "fewest losses" is a terrible way to judge teams in the expanded conference/imbalanced schedule era.
Something the committee really needs to consider when they get together next year

Lane Kiffin on here today doing more for the @SEC than the guy who is actually paid millions to look out for the conference’s best interests.

SMU was ranked 6 spots ahead of a team they lost to 12 hours ago lol
