Winning on the field and winning off the field have seemingly become a staple of Josh Heupel’s program in Knoxville. That continued this weekend as Tennessee beat rival Alabama in Neyland Stadium and landed a commitment from 2026 offensive lineman Brandon Anderson.

The 6-foot-5, 320 pounder from North Cobb High School in Georgia has offers from over 20 schools despite not yet even completing his junior season. Anderson said Tennessee led from the beginning and ultimately chose the Vols over the likes of Auburn, Alabama, and Miami.

“Tennessee has led from the start. Since they offered, they were No. 1 on my list. I committed because of the coaches and the team. They recruited me hard, they made me feel at home and I can go there and win a ring,” said Anderson.

The commitment gives Tennessee their third player in the 2026 class and vaults them up to No. 7 overall in the On3 Industry Team Rankings. Anderson will hopefully accompany 2025 No. 1 OT David Sanders, Jr. in blocking for their prize 2026 recruit, quarterback Faizon Brandon, the No. 6 overall recruit in the country in the 2026 cycle and No. 2 ranked quarterback as well.
