LSU adds personnel staffer from Ole Miss

LSU has added to its support staff, hiring Jai Choudhary from Ole Miss, LouisianaSports.net has learned.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports was first to report the news.

Choudhary has been on the Ole Miss staff since 2022 in a variety of roles. He began as a player personnel graduate assistant before being elevated to Assistant Director of Player Personnel handling advanced scouting and then becoming an NFL liaison.

Choudhary worked with current LSU Senior Associate AD Austin Thomas for two years on Lane Kiffin’s staff.

Brian Kelly’s support staff has seen an overhaul this offseason. Kelly’s longtime Chief of Staff Beth Rex left the program in October. Jas Smith, who has served as LSU’s Director of Football Operations since Kelly was hired in 2022, was not retained. Former Tigers Nick Brossette, JaCoby Stevens and Paul Turner are also not returning.

JR Belton was promoted from Director of Football Recruiting to replace Smith. Kelly promoted Donovan Tate internally to fill Belton’s former role.
