Emery Jones was absent from this weekend’s rookie minicamp and likely won’t join his new Baltimore teammates until training camp, according to coach John Harbaugh.

“It’s going to be a little while,” Harbaugh said, via the team’s website. “He had a labrum/shoulder issue I don’t think you guys were aware of. I don’t think it’s going to clear up now. Probably be looking at training camp, maybe earlier, we’ll just have to see how it goes. He’s not going to practice in the immediate future.”

The Ravens selected Jones in the third round in last month’s draft out of LSU. The Baton Rouge native started all 12 games in which he played during the 2024 season with the Tigers. He opted out of the team’s Texas Bowl win over Baylor. During his three seasons at LSU, Jones played in 38 games with 36 starts–all at right tackle. Jones could project as a guard with Baltimore.

Pro Football Focus graded Jones at 61.7 for his junior season, a dramatic decline from the 73.9 he earned as a sophomore. Perhaps the undisclosed injury had a hand in the drop.
