Auburn Lands Four-Star LB

Auburn landed a big commitment ahead of Saturday’s game vs New Mexico.

Elijah Melendez, a consensus four-star linebacker and Top 250 player, committed to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers early Saturday evening.

Melendez, a 6-foot-2 225 pounder from Kissimmee, FL., was previously committed to Miami. He decommitted two weeks ago..

“Auburn is a real deal college town…it’s a great cultural fit and family fit. It’s the perfect fit,” said Melendez.

Melendez is the nation’s No. 10 linebacker in the 2025 class per On3. He becomes the 24th commitment of the 2025 class and gives Auburn the No. 4 overall ranked class per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
