Flau’jae Johnson addresses WNBA future after LSU season ends

In the moments following LSU’s season ending in the Elite Eight, Flau’jae Johnson did not have her mind made up about the next step in her basketball life.
The junior guard told ESPN’s Alexa Phillips that she plans to speak with head coach Kim Mulkey as well as her family before deciding to play another season at LSU or turn professional. As a 22-year-old, Johnson is eligible to enter the WNBA Draft.
The WNBA Draft will be held April 14.
Sunday afternoon in Spokane, Johnson led all scorers with 28 points in the Tigers’ loss to No. 1 overall seed UCLA.
As a junior, Johnson finished second on the team at just over 18 points per game. She is also one of the highest earning female collegiate athletes in the NIL space as a player and music artist.
If she should return, Johnson would once again join forces with Mikaylah Williams as one of the top backcourt duos in women’s college basketball.
