Frakes, Director of Sports Nutrition, leaving LSU

Dr. Matt Frakes, LSU’s Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Nutrition since 2021, announced he’s leaving the university on Tuesday.

Head football coach Brian Kelly brought Frakes over from Notre Dame when he took the job at LSU.
Frakes served as the director nutrition for the football program while overseeing the other 20 athletic programs on campus.
“I put my heart and spirit into everything I did for our players, the staff and LSU,” Frakes said in a statement released via social media. “Thank you for allowing me to change what performance looks like for our athletes, the field and the community!”
