Georgia nabs four-star safety

Four-star safety Zech Fort committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on Thursday.
Fort is the No. 8 safety prospect and the No. 102 ranked player in the country according to the On3 composite rankings.
Fort is a rising senior in the 2026 class and plays at IMG Academy in Florida. He is the latest in a line of players who have landed in Athens from IMG including defensive back Ellis Robinson and former No. 1 overall recruit Nolan Smith. Fort spoke about what he liked most about Georgia after making his commitment.
“Since I visited Georgia when they played Tennessee, I knew it,” Fort told On3. “Seeing what Georgia was like and what they represent as a team as a program, we represent a lot of the same things. They produce top players, and Georgia is a top program that will compete for national championships every year. Who wouldn’t want to go to Georgia?”
Fort picked Georgia over offers from Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, and several more. He becomes the fifth commitment for the Dawgs in the 2026 class.
