LSU redshirt freshman wide receiver Kyle Parker will miss the rest of the season.

Head coach Brian Kelly announced on his weekly radio show that Parker tore a tendon in his triceps. Parker suffered an injury to his UCL in the season opener against USC. He missed two weeks and returned to action against UCLA. He recorded his first career touchdown catch in that game.

Parker has recorded three catches for 55 yards on the season.

LSU’s injury report once again included senior wide receiver CJ Daniels and junior wide receiver Chris Hilton as questionable.

Asked who could pick up some slack for the banged up receiving corps, Kelly offered some options.

“Clearly Zavion (Thomas) will be prominently looked to to play a larger role for us,” he said. “Aaron Anderson, certainly, and then we feel like with (tight ends) Ka’Morruen Pimpton and Trey’dez Green, we have two ball catchers there that can also be in our rotation that certainly can help us out.

“Shelton Sampson is another receiver that will obviously get an opportunity to compete for us, and Jelani (Watkins). We’d love to have (the injured wide outs), but if they’re not available, we have guys that really can do a nice job for us.”
