Lampley completed his sixth season with the Vols in 2024, playing in 52 career games with three starts. His father Brad Lampley played at Tennessee in the 90s and was a member of the 1997 SEC championship team.
According to FootballScoop.com, Lampley met with several programs at the AFCA Convention in Charlotte last January about coaching opportunities. In the end, he lands in Baton Rouge, likely working under offensive line coach Brad Davis.
LSU also added Alex Atkins to the staff this offseason as tight ends coach. Atkins is a noted offensive line coach and was most recently the offensive coordinator at Florida State.
The Tigers open the 2025 season at Clemson at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
