LSU will get his final official visit the weekend of June 20-22.
Bentley took an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge two weeks ago. Shea Dixon on On3 The Bengal Tiger said on After Further Review, “OU is kind of considered the leader, but it was really the only school he had visited…(Bentley) said the visit weekend blew him away.”
The 6-foot-1, 200 pounder out of Celina, Texas, is rated as a four-star in the On3 Composite. He’s the ninth-best quarterback, the No. 91 overall prospect and has nearly 30 offers.
The Tigers were late to the recruiting party for many of the top 2026 prospects because 2025 No. 1 overall player Bryce Underwood had been committed for nearly a year. When Underwood flipped to Michigan last November, LSU was forced to pivot. The Tigers added sophomore Michael Van Buren via the transfer portal and cranked up their efforts on key 2026 targets.
LSU also saw AJ Swann and Rickie Collins leave the program in the December transfer portal window.
Redshirt freshman Colin Hurley is still on the roster, although he is not with the team during spring football as he recovers from a serious automobile accident in January.
Senior Garrett Nussmeier returns for his fifth season with the Tigers in 2025.
Bentley has not announced a commitment date.
