LSU pitcher Chandler Dorsey enters transfer portal

BATON ROUGE, La. — Chandler Dorsey is leaving LSU after just one season with the Tigers. The junior right-handed pitcher has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-4, 231 pound reliever made just five relief appearances in his lone season at LSU with a 5.40 ERA. He did not see action in any SEC contests.
Dorsey spent his first two collegiate seasons at South Florida where he made 48 appearances for the Bulls. As a sophomore in 2024, he struck out 41 hitters in 30.0 innings with a 3.60 ERA.
The Lakeland, Fla., native is the fifth Tiger to enter the portal in this cycle. He joins Blaise Priester, Dylan Thompson, David Hogg II and Ryan Costello. Trevor Schmidt and Trenton Lape has previously left the program.
LSU has added power-hitting infielder Brayden Simpson from High Point via the portal. He hit .389 with 22 homeruns this season.
