LSU receiver Nicholas enters transfer portal

LSU wide receiver Javen Nicholas has entered the transfer portal, he announced on his X account Thursday. Nicholas joins running back John Emery as the first two Tigers seeking new homes in the spring portal window.

Nicholas joined LSU as a preferred walk-on in 2022 out of St. Augustine in New Orleans, eventually earning a scholarship. He played in 26 games over three seasons, catching four passes, returning seven kickoffs and two punts.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
The spring portal window runs through April 25.
