Marshon Lattimore headlines Saints inactives against Cowboys

DALLAS — The New Orleans Saints have released their list of inactive players ahead of their Week 2 contest with the Dallas Cowboys.
New Orleans Saints Inactives:
WR A.T. Perry
QB Spencer Rattler (Emergency Third QB)
CB Marshon Lattimore
DT Khalen Saunders
LB D’Marco Jackson
LB Jaylan Ford
TE Dallin Holker
With Lattimore out today, expect rookie cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry to start in his place. The second-round selection played just over 20 snaps last week when Lattimore exited the game early. McKinstry will see some major competition in his first NFL start guarding both wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks. It will be an early test for the promising young cornerback.
Lattimore made a push to take the field after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend against the Carolina Panthers. Unfortunately, he will not be on the field. But with a long season ahead and with how tricky hamstring injuries can be, this could be a wise precaution to take in Week 2.
Seeing offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga not listed is a positive sign. It remains to be seen whether or not he will start. The Saints could keep him as a backup and start the healthier Landon Young at left tackle if they are concerns that Fuaga is not healthy enough to start.
