Paulson Adebo Returns to Practice

Getting on the right side of the unjust conversation is a must for the New Orleans Saints, and lately, they are inching toward the desired destination. The team got a step closer during Wednesday’s practice when they welcomed back a few more faces.

The key return for New Orleans was Paulson Adebo. The star corner made his return to full participation Wednesday after being back with the team on a limited basis on Tuesday during their open practice.

Adebo looked fluid and smooth throughout the day, not held up by the groin injury that had sidelined him since early August in Irvine, Calif. This was a very welcome sight for the Saints, who have had their fair share of injuries at the position.

Fellow starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been out for a large part of camp. Adebo was dealing with his injury. Rookies Kool-Aid McKinstry and Rico Payton both suffered injuries during the second preseason game, and free agent addition Mac McCain dealt with injuries earlier in camp. The litany of health concerns at the position needed some good news. Payton spent much of the practice working off to the side, a sign he’s also nearing a return.

With McCain having returned and Adebo now getting back into the full swing of practices, things are looking up for New Orleans at one of the most important positions on its roster. The Saints are set to have one of the deepest cornerback rooms in the NFL with at least four starter-caliber players in the room between Lattimore, Adebo, McKinstry and starting slot corner Alontae Taylor.

Keeping them healthy will be paramount. The team’s defense relies on its corners to be athletic, physical and play on an island. All of this are tough to do when battling injury.

Also spotted at practice was undrafted rookie Mason Tipton. The speedy wide out was working with trainers and could be back in practice action soon.
