Ray Tanner to step down as South Carolina AD 

South Carolina Athletic Director Ray Tanner announced Friday morning that he will be stepping down from his role at USC. Tanner has been the AD in Columbia since August 2012 and will finish out his tenure until a new hire is made. After finding a replacement for the AD, Tanner will move to a new role serving as senior advisor to the president of the university.

South Carolina won three national championships and 19 SEC championships during his 12 year tenure.
