Former LSU great Ronald Dupree is joining the Tiger basketball program as general manager.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the news Monday morning, and a source confirmed it to LouisianaSports.net.

Dupree has spent eight seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks as an executive including his most recent role as Director of Global Scouting.

As a player, Dupree led the SEC in scoring in 2001. He finished his LSU career eighth all-time in scoring and sixth in rebounding. He posted 33 career double-doubles.

He went on to play portions of six seasons in the NBA and three more overseas.

He began his coaching career at LSU as a student assistant in 2014. He later served as an assistant coach at Nevada for one season in 2016-17 before joining the Bucks as a scout.
