Report: Saints host TE Thomas Fidone II for Top-30 visit

By Ross Jackson
Another player is set for a top-30 visit with the New Orleans Saints. After lining up visits with a pair of draftable offensive linemen and a star cornerback, New Orleans is now set to host a sleeper tight end out of Nebraska.
Per Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, Cornhuskers tight end Thomas Fidone II has a top-30 visit scheduled with the Saints. He has reportedly also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings, and Buffalo Bills this offseason.
Fidone was also a Senior Bowl standout, working with the American Team, which was coached by Saints assistant coach and running backs coach Joel Thomas. New Orleans now wants a closer look at the 6-foot-5, 243 pound player who is noted for his blocking ability and capabilities as a pass-catcher.

Fit With The Saints
He is projected to be a day three pick, where the Saints could certainly still look to invest in the position. New Orleans re-signed Juwan Johnson to a three-year deal, but fellow tight ends Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill are both entering contract years and are coming off of serious injuries. The future at the position will have some lingering questions, which the Saints try to get ahead of with a deep and talented draft class at the position.
