NEW ORLEANS — A much more promising outlook at Thursday’s practice for the New Orleans Saints’ run game with running back Alvin Kamara back in action. However, the team is still running then on the offensive line and now a bit at wide receiver as well. Meanwhile, the defense’s star linebacker Demario Davis will continue to be one to watch as the week wraps up.

Here is the attendance report from the portion of practice that was open to the media:

Not Seen:

WR A.T. Perry

OL Cesar Ruiz

LB Demario Davis

Returned:

CB Alontae Taylor

RB Alvin Kamara

Observed:

RB Kendre Miller

Not listed above is tight end Taysom Hill who returned to practice last week and was elevated to full participation on Wednesday. He was still in the building Thursday and getting work in without any observable limitations. Head coach Dennis Allen said that the team is expecting Hill to be available Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, a valuable boost to the offense.

Miller has one more weekend until he is eligible to return from Injured Reserve. That does not necessarily mean that he will see his practice window immediately open, as the team could keep him on the list longer should they so choose. But a story to watch coming off of the game against the Falcons.

Perry’s absence was a surprise, but the injury report will be released Thursday afternoon. Wide receiver is a position to watch closely this week as veteran wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. also looked to be tended to off to the side during practice. That could compound the Perry absence, depending on the severity or cause of his unavailability.
