Saints underdogs in 16 of 17 games in 2025

The New Orleans Saints’ 2025 schedule released on Wednesday and while the team is said to again have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL, it’s clear that Vegas doesn’t think they can match up.
As Garland Gillen of FOX 8 WVUE-TV noted per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Saints are underdogs in 16 of their 17 matchups. The only game in which they are favored is in the Week 16 contest with the New York Jets.
The Saints are favorites in only ONE game this season, at home against the Jets.
Week 1: +3.5 vs Cardinals
Week 2: +7 vs 49ers
Week 3: +6.5 vs Seahawks
Week 4: +12.5 at Bills
Week 5: +1.5 vs Giants
Week 6: +3 vs Patriots
Week 7: +7.5 at Bears
Week 8: +5.5 at Buccaneers
Week 9:…— Garland Gillen (@garlandgillen) May 15, 2025
The Jets moved on from last year’s starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and signed young passer Justin Fields this offseason. While some are high on what Fields’ ceiling can be, the team’s outlook is bleak. Which says a lot about the Saints’ outlook that they are only favored against them. Ouch.
Here are the opening lines for each of New Orleans’ 17 games in 2025:
Week 1: +3.5 vs Cardinals
Week 2: +7 vs 49ers
Week 3: +6.5 vs Seahawks
Week 4: +12.5 at Bills
Week 5: +1.5 vs Giants
Week 6: +3 vs Patriots
Week 7: +7.5 at Bears
Week 8: +5.5 at Buccaneers
Week 9: +9.5 at Rams
Week 10: +4.5 at Panthers
Week 12: +2.5 vs. Falcons
Week 13: +6 at Dolphins
Week 14: +9.5 at Buccaneers
Week 15: +1.5 Panthers
Week 16: -1.5 vs Jets
Week 17: +3.5 at Titans
Week 18: +4.5 at Falcons
New Orleans has several key games on their schedule. They and head head coach Kelleb Moore will face former head coach Dennis Allen and the Bears in week seven. Defensive coordinator Brandon Staley faces off with former colleague Sean McVay when the team travels to take on the Rams. The team even faces its former offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak, when the Saints match up with the Seahawks for week three. Eyes will be on them, despite the lack of primetime matchups.
Being favored in just one game should give the team another chip on its shoulder heading into 2025.
