Sampson had a breakout junior season, earning SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors. He led the league in rushing yards (1,491) and touchdowns (22). He also ranked top-ten nationally in nearly all rushing categories.
The Baton Rouge, La., native signed with the Vols as a four-star prospect out of Dutchtown High in 2022. During his three seasons in Knoxville, Sampson played in 35 games with 2,492 career rishing yards and 35 touchdowns.
Tennessee was eliminated in the First Round of the College Football Playoff in a lopsided loss at Ohio State. An injury limited Sampson to just two rushes for six yards in the game.
Sampson is currently rated the No. 10 best running back prospect by Mel Kiper, Jr. and is projected as a late Day 2 or Day 3 selection.
