State nabs former Auburn commit

Jeff Lebby got a much-needed win for his program Thursday morning.
Four-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart committed to the Bulldogs. Lockhart was committed to Auburn in May but reopened his recruitment shortly after.
The 6-foot-3, 210 lbs prospect from Winona, MS had over 15 total offers from colleges across the country including Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Ole Miss. Lockhart is a consensus four-star recruit and ranks in the Top 200 nationally on every major recruiting site.
He becomes the 19th commitment in Mississippi State’s 2025 recruiting class and is the highest ranked prospect committed to the Bulldogs.
