New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has been accused of rape and physical abuse in a lawsuit filed this week in Los Angeles County.
The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claims she dated Williamson from 2018 to 2023 and alleges he engaged in a pattern of sexual, physical, emotional and financial abuse.
The lawsuit accuses Williamson of two rapes in 2020 while he was living in Beverly Hills. The filing also claims he made threats against the plaintiff and her family.
Doe’s attorney called the case “very serious” in a statement but declined further comment, saying they look forward to presenting the case in court.

The lawsuit adds to an already turbulent offseason for Williamson. In April, the mother of his daughter was arrested in an unrelated stalking and assault case involving another woman.
