By now you’ve heard about the tragic ending to the end of Florida State’s 2023 season, especially if you know an FSU fan, have talked to an FSU fan, or even made brief eye contact with an FSU fan. It’s all they’ve talked about for the last nine months.
And let’s be clear, FSU absolutely should have made the College Football Playoff last season. However, as it turns out, responding to not getting in the CFP by getting skulldragged by 60 versus UGA in the Orange Bowl, crying and lashing out irrationally at Kirk Herbstreit on Twitter for eight consecutive months and suing your own conference while threatening to leave it…isn’t a blueprint for success in the offseason.
So, I fully understand the ire and anger that FSU fans had towards the committee, ESPN, etc. That being said, if you find yourself talking trash on Twitter about Kirk Herbstreit’s dog, it might be time to put the phone down and get some help.
All of those reasons are why watching the post-loss meltdown on Twitter from FSU fans even more hilarious. Here are my favorite social media reactions after the loss in Drublin.

Jimbo Fisher sending Haynes King to Georgia Tech two years ago for the sole purpose of ruining FSU’s 2024 season opener is some next level pettiness.
