Mississippi State has added Florida State transfer quarterback Luke Kromenhoek to its portal class, the signal caller announced on his social media Tuesday.

The announcement comes after Bulldogs freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren left the program for LSU this week. Blake Shapen, who was Mississippi State’s starting quarterback in 2024 before being lost to a season-ending injury, announced his plans to return to Starkville in 2025. MSU also lost third-string quarterback Chris Parson to the portal, but signed four-star KaMario Taylor as part of the 2025 class.
Kromenhoek appeared in six games as a freshman for the Seminoles, starting the final two games of the season. He’s a former four-star recruit who is ranked the No. 2 transfer quarterback by 247Sports.
