Arch Manning will return to Texas in 2025.
Speaking during media availability Monday ahead of Wednesday’s College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup in the Peach Bowl against Arizona State, the redshirt freshman told reporters he will not enter the Transfer Portal and will be back in Austin for a third season.
“I mean, I really have no plans on entering the portal or anything,” Manning said, per Rivals. “So I don’t really know about it, about all the windows and everything.”

Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers has not publicly announced his intention to declare for the NFL Draft. There have also been unconfirmed reports that Ewers could return to college and enter the portal himself.
Apparently, no matter what Ewers decides, Manning is staying put.
The No. 1 overall player in the 2023 class has played in eight games this season, including two starts while Ewers was out with an injury. He has thrown for 939 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for four scores this season.
Texas beat Clemson in the First Round of the playoff, setting up a showdown with the fourth-seeded Sun Devils. The Longhorns are seeking the program’s first national title since 2005.
