Pelicans acquire King, first round pick in trade with Pacers

Joe Dumars completed his first trade as Pelicans’ head of basketball operations.

New Orleans acquired the rights to Mojave King and the No. 23 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft from the Pacers and sent back next year’s first round draft choice.

King, a 6-foot-5 wing, was originally selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2023 draft. He played two season in the NBA G League for the Ignite and the Indiana Mad Ants. King is currently playing professionally in New Zealand.

New Orleans now owns the No. 7 and No. 23 picks in next week’s draft.
