LSU adds ’26 La. safety Isaiah Washington

LSU landed its second commitment on the Fourth of July when Haynesville (La.) safety Isaiah Washington pledged to the Tigers.

Washington is a 6-foot-3, 170 pound defensive back that plays quarterback for Haynesville.

The dual-threat athlete can play cornerback but projects as a safety at LSU. He is the No. 3 safety in the state for the 2026 class. Safeties coach Jake Olsen and cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond led his recruitment.

Mississippi offensive tackle Bryson Cooley announced his commitment to LSU Friday morning.

With Washington’s pledge, LSU now has 14 commitments for the 2026 class. He is the third safety in the class, joining Aiden Hall of New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr and Dylan Purter of Tuskeegee (Ala.) Booker T. Washington.
