After having a workout with the New Orleans Saints in June, defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard has reportedly agreed to a deal with the team.

NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reported the signing Saturday afternoon. The 31-year-old defensive tackle started all 17 games last year with the Minnesota Vikings.

He is an outstanding run defender, which makes him an important addition for the Saints who finished No. 31 against the run last season. Going into his tenth year in the NFL, Bullard has appeared in at least 12 games in six years, including the last three. He appeared in all 17 games in each of the last two years.

Bullard has appeared in 116 career matchups and totaled 221 combined tackles, 28 for a loss, 6.5 sacks and 21 hits on opposing quarterbacks.
