Conner Ware’s time at LSU is done.
The junior left-hander posted on Instagram that he has signed with the New York Mets after being selected in the 15th round last week.
Ware appeared in 16 games for the Tigers, making six starts. He went 4-1 with a 5.48 ERA, striking out 23 in 21.1 innings of work.
His best work came early in the season when he worked four great innings in a win over Dallas Baptist in Arlington. After a tough season-closing start at South Carolina, Ware was not used in the postseason.
