With SEC Media Days over and still more than 40 days until kickoff, Circa Sports updated their odds for every SEC team to make the College Football Playoff.
Several teams have seen their odds change. Some increased in favor of making the 12 team field. Also, one interesting nugget from the latest odds is that not every team is even included. Which means it’s not even August and some teams have already been theoretically eliminated.
One team who made the biggest jump was Alabama, going from +110 to -180. Another interesting note is that in the 11 years of existence only three teams who had odds that were -100 or better to make the CFP actually won the Playoff that year. Those teams were 2017 Alabama (-230), 2018 Clemson (-175), and 2024 Ohio State (-750).
