It’s a happy Thanksgiving for Eli Drinkwitz, as the Missouri head coach has agreed to a new contract with the school. Pete Thamel of ESPN first reported the news.
Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz has agreed to a new contract with the school, he announced. Per ESPN sources, there’s an increase in salary for Drinkwitz to an average of more than $10.7 million over the deal and an increased commitment to staff and salary pool. pic.twitter.com/tkCPeOwKxx

The deal will increase his salary from $9 million to $10.7 million per year, and will include an increased commitment to his staff, salary pool and NIL funding.
Drinkwitz has been floated around as a popular name for several head coaching vacancies. That includes the Penn State, Florida,and LSU jobs. The extension will keep him at Missouri through the 2031 season.

Missouri is 45-28 under Drinkwitz and have qualified for a bowl game in all six of his seasons at the helm.
