The redshirt sophomore has played in 20 games and started 11 for LSU over the last two seasons. Mubenga arrived as a four-star prospect from Buford, Ga., when he signed in 2023.
He grew up a soccer player in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Upon moving to the United States, he picked up football. He was forced into the starting lineup for the final five games of the 2024 season when Garrett Dellinger went down with an injury. He started six games in 2025.
Mubenga joins DJ Chester, Coen Echols, Tyree Adams and Curius Curne among LSU offensive linemen being reported to enter the portal when it opens on Jan 2.
LSU will assuredly be active in recruiting proven offensive linemen in the portal period.
