LSU’s touchdowns leader is coming back.
Trey’Dez Green will play his junior season at LSU after nabbing a team-best seven touchdowns in 2025. The dynamic tight end immediately becomes one of Lane Kiffin’s best offensive weapons with his 6-foot-7 frame and jaw-dropping leaping ability.
LouisianaSports.net has learned it took a series of negotiations to get Green to return to the fold. He will likely be among the highest-paid tight ends in the country for 2026.
Green hauled in 33 catches for 433 yards and the seven scores in a breakout campaign that started with a huge touchdown at Clemson. Instead of spending the spring on the basketball court as he did in 2025, Green will focus all of his attention on football where he’ll garner pre-season award recognition next summer.
The Jackson, LA., native was a four-star prospect and the top tight end in the country coming out of Zachary High School. With plenty of production at wide receiver departing, Green will factor into the passing game in a big way.
Matt Zenitz was the first to report the news.
