The New Orleans Saints continue to be active with the 2026 NFL Draft wide receiver class. After scheduling top-30 visits with a pair of potential first round wideouts, New Orleans is now reportedly set to get a look at a Day 2 sleeper from a small school.

Per NFL and college football analyst Ryan Fowler, the Saints are expected to host Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst.

Hurst is an athletic marvel in this year’s draft, especially at his size. Standing just shy of 6-foot-4, and weighing in at 206 pounds, Hurst is a true three-level threat with the speed and ability to win vertically, but the physicality to produce in the short areas of the field against press coverage.

Hurst caught 71 of his targets in 2026 for 1,004 receiving yards and six touchdown catches. He reeled in 56 receptions for 961 receiving yards and nine scores in 2024.

He’s productive despite his team’s success, or lack thereof, and impressed at this year’s Senior Bowl, putting himself on the map for many draft evaluators.

Hurst adds great leaping ability and long arms to his frame, making him an immediate jump ball threat with a red zone/fade ball role once he enters the league. However, he has the potential to grow into a much more diverse contributor for any offense looking for a big-bodied playmaker.

Hurst will likely be a top-100 selection with the Saints’ No. 73 overall pick in the third round being closest to his expected range.
