The New Orleans Saints enter Thursday night with the No. 8 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft—and increasingly, the betting markets are telling a clear story.
As of draft week, Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson has surged to the top of the odds board, sitting as the favorite in the +200 to +275 range across major sportsbooks. Behind him, Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate and LSU corner Mansoor Delane hover in the +400 range, with Miami edge rusher Reuben Bain Jr. just behind.
The movement is telling. Just days ago, Bain was the betting favorite, but late momentum—fueled by workouts and team needs—has pushed Tyson to the front. League-wide interest in receivers has also tightened the market, with multiple reports noting Tyson is a strong candidate to go inside the top 10.
For New Orleans, the odds align with roster reality. The Saints are widely expected to prioritize either a pass rusher, defensive back, or wide receiver, with increasing sentiment around adding a weapon for quarterback Tyler Shough.
If the board holds—and if Tate is gone, as many expect—the most likely outcome is straightforward: the Saints stay put at No. 8 and select Tyson, giving their offense a true No. 1-caliber target and signaling a clear commitment to building around their young quarterback.
