The New Orleans Saints are set to make their first selection of the 2026 NFL Draft at No. 8 overall on Thursday night. Many names have been connected to the team as possible investments. New Orleans’ position in this draft set them up for a real chance to add an impactful player that will be able to be an immediate contributor.

FanDuel Sportsbook has named odds for each selection, including the No. 8 overall pick and many favorite matches for the club. Here are the top-six prospects they’ve named and their odds.

Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson: +240

Ohio State WR Carnell Tate:+490

LSU CB Mansoor Delane: +490

Ohio State S Caleb Downs: +600

Miami EDGE Rueben Bain Jr.: +700

USC WR Makai Lemon: +1500

Tyson is the current favorite to be the selection at No. 8 for the Saints. But based on general manager Mickey Loomis’s Wednesday press conference, the team may be looking to invest in a player with fewer injury question marks, that could be more of a sure thing.

Tate, Delane and Downs seem to check more boxes. But if those boxes are merely a smokescreen or draft gamesmanship by the general manager, Tyson would make a ton of sense.
