When Aidan Anding went down, LSU’s cornerback depth was hurt.
Saturday night, Lane Kiffin’s staff found some help in the junior college ranks. Lavonte Williams, a 6-foot-3 corner from Georgia Military College, committed to the Tigers. He will enroll this summer.

Anding injured his Achilles tendon during a spring scrimmage at Tiger Stadium. His loss left the Tigers thin at the position.
Williams hails from Camden, S.C., and held an offer from Kansas State. Without a spring transfer portal, LSU had limited options at the position. The JUCO transfer steps in aside DJ Pickett, PJ Woodland, Ja’Keem Jackson, Michael Turner Jr., Havon Finney and Treylan James. Dez Ellis will also enroll as a true freshman this summer.
