Will Wade’s next commitment was announced Friday when Abdi Bashir Jr. pledged to LSU by way of Kansas State.
Bashir Jr. is a 6-foot-7 wing who averaged 13.2 points per game for the Wildcats in 2025-26. His college career started at Monmouth where he averaged 20.1 points per game and was named to the All-CAA First Team as a sophomore. That year he led the CAA in three-point attempts and makes.
Bashir Jr. has started 50 games between the two schools.

Bashir Jr. has shot at least 38 percent from three-point range in all three of his college seasons. He posted a sizzling 44 percent last season at Kansas State on 67-for-151 from deep. Almost 80 percent of his shots came from three-point range.
This brings LSU to four commitments for the next roster. Bashir will only have one season of eligibility remaining.
