It was a busy day on Airline Drive, not just because of the final New Orleans Saints mandatory minicamp practice, but because of a slew of roster moves the team also made before the in-field work began.
Head coach Kellen Moore announced the moves at his pre-practice press conference, which included four players being added to the roster and four being waived.

While Jordan and Dekkers are expected returns for New Orleans, the additions of Moreno-Cropper and Brown serve as immediate replacements for two waived players: Alford and Shipley respectively.
Moreno-Cropper, a 6-foot, 169-pound wideout joins the Saints after finishing up his season in the UFL, like Brown. The receiver caught 22 receptions for 291 yards for an average of 13.2 yards per catch during his spring league year and also returned five kickoffs for a whopping 42.6 yard average and one touchdown.
Brown made 25 of his 28 regular season field goal attempts and went 4-4 in the postseason. His regular season long was from 60 yards out while his postseason long was a booming 63-yard attempt. Two of his three misses came on attempts between 50-59 yards while the other was in the 30-yard range.
New Orleans also tried out wide receiver Steven Sims, who has already seen seven years of NFL action. The Saints could look to add him ahead of training camp as the team’s receiver position continues to ramp up through the rehab process during that time.
