Four-star safety Greedy James flipped his commitment from Texas to LSU Thursday. James made the announcement on a 247Sports livestream.

The Manvel, Texas, defensive back originally committed to the Longhorns in December. He is expected to play cornerback for the Tigers.
James (6’1, 170 pounds) is ranked No. 320 in the Rivals Industry Rankings and the 28th best safety.
Aside from LSU and Texas, James made visits to Texas A&M, Ohio State, TCU, SMU and Notre Dame.
James is the 15th member of Lane Kiffin’s 2027 class, which ranks 11th nationally and fifth in the SEC. He is the second defensive back to commit, joining three-star cornerback Markez Davis.
