We forge ahead on our year-long trip for our SEC bucket list road trip in the 2026 season. We’ve reached the month of November, and it’s about to get really fun. Leaves changing, cool crisp air and what has been the most chaotic month of college football annually for most of everyone’s lifetime.
Week 10: Texas A&M at South Carolina
An absolutely massive game for South Carolina, in what could be one of the most raucous environments in America. An afternoon or early evening game in Williams-Brice Stadium. A potential top ten Texas A&M team coming off the bye week into their final stretch of the season hoping to avoid yet another nightmarish ending to a regular season.
We saw this play out two years ago in horrific fashion for Texas A&M, as they were boat raced by South Carolina 44-20. This year’s game will feature two teams looking to prove everyone wrong and the most experienced quarterbacks in the SEC in Marcel Reed and LaNorris Sellers.
Columbia is beautiful this time of year. The State Fair should have just left town, so the traffic should be manageable, and the heat should finally have migrated south for the winter.
Get your towel ready to wave during Sandstorm and head to Palmetto Pig for the best barbecue in the city. Whether you’re going to the Vista or Five Points, the drinks will be flowing and it should be a beautiful November afternoon in Soda City.
Week 11: Texas at LSU
This may be the billionth time this season that we’ve typed in “Skip Bertman Drive” into the GPS, but it doesn’t matter. This is one of the biggest games of the year in the entire country. Two of the best offensive minds in college football square off in Tiger Stadium in what should be the weekend’s primetime showcase. The loaded slate also features Tennessee at Texas A&M and Ole Miss traveling to Norman to face Oklahoma.
It will be an all-time uniform matchup and a game that should very likely have massive playoff implications. It will be a rematch of the instant classic in Austin from 2019 and just the third time these two have faced off since 1963. It will also be almost the 130th anniversary, to the day, of their first meeting back in 1896 in Baton Rouge.
As for the game itself, it should be an incredible matchup, especially offensively. Sam Leavitt versus Arch Manning. Elite offensive firepower and pass catchers. It will feature two of the best pass rushers in college football and two veteran defensive coordinators including Will Muschamp, returning to one of his first stints out of the roughly 172 SEC schools he’s coached at during his career.
Texas. LSU. Tiger Stadium. At night. Sign me up.
