Fall camp is underway across the SEC, so it’s time to get some overreactions and observations in. Your team is healthy, the schedule is manageable, and the amount of hope floating around the program is off the charts. Still, every team has some questions.
Here are three burning questions for every SEC team. Next up, Texas A&M.
1. What will the offensive line look like?
Last season the offensive line was the strength of the team. The unit had a combined 177 starts and was full of experience across the board. This year they return just one starter. They did go into the portal and get several players with starting experience in the SEC. Trovon Baugh comes in from South Carolina, Tyree Adams comes in from LSU, and Wilkin Formy comes in from Alabama. They’ll need to protect Marcel Reed well if this team has any chance of getting back to the college football playoff.
2. How well will Holmon Wiggins oversee the offense?
Last year’s offensive coordinator Colin Klein left to be the head coach at Kansas State. His offense in 2025 ranked in the top five in the SEC in yards per game (444.5) and yards per play (6.38). It also ranked fourth in scoring with 33.8 points per game. That was the highest in six years.
Now it’s Holmon Wiggins’s turn. Wiggins has been an assistant or co-offensive coordinator in the SEC for several seasons at Texas A&M and Alabama, but never the sole leader of the offense. He will have weapons everywhere at his disposal, but he will also have plenty to replace. That includes four starters on the offensive line and a first round draft pick at wide receiver. He does have a resource that few coordinators in America have, and that is a third year starter at quarterback.
3. Who approved these uniforms?
There have been some horrible alternate uniforms in college football over the years. The Florida Gators alligator skin uniforms stand out. The old Georgia vs Boise State uniforms they wore in the Chick-fil-A kickoff classic are definitely up there. But, ladies and gentlemen,d there may be a new leader in the clubhouse with Texas A&M’s camouflage uniforms they released on Friday. The uniforms will be worn on October 3rd against Arkansas.
