Clemson could be down a defensive lineman when the Tigers travel to Baton Rouge.

Defensive tackle Vic Burley was arrested early Saturday morning in Clemson, S.C. and charged with disorderly conduct. He played in all 13 games last year with one start. The Warner Robbins, GA., native was credited for 24 tackles and a pass breakup.

Head coach Dabo Swinney released a statement confirming Burley’s suspension.

“Earlier today, I was made aware of defensive tackle Vic Burley’s arrest by the Clemson University Police Department. I have made the decision to suspend Vic from our football team indefinitely. We are extremely disappointed in his actions and decisions.”

LSU and Clemson open the season in two weeks on Saturday, September 5.
