Report: LSU to fill roster, leave Wright, Harris off

Petre Thomas

The path to LSU’s roster has been closed on Dae’quan Wright and Zxavian Harris.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel is reporting that LSU plans to add two other players to its active roster which will put the Tigers at the maximum of 105. Those two spots were theoretically left open for the former Ole Miss Rebels wo spent time with NFL teams over the summer.

LouisianaSports.net has confirmed that Gabriel Reliford and Aidan Anding are the additions. Both are injured and will not play this season.

The SEC filed suit in northern Alabama against LSU, Lane Kiffin, Verge Ausberry, Dr. Wade Rousee and members of the board of supervisors. The league also planned a vote on Thursday that could result in LSU’s expulson.

No word from the SEC if that vote is still scheduled.

Perhaps this will settle things down between the school and the league. The last three weeks have featured a whirlwind of lawsuits, public statements and court hearings. It’s likely the players will shift from fighting for eligibility to fighting for damages in the courts. LSU will not be involved in that.

It’s time to focus on football.
